Field Engineers

Job Description:

We are seeking Commissioning Engineers to implement the commissioning of communication equipment on and off at customer premises.

Reporting to the Field Resource Manager, working individually or as part of a team.

Key Responsibility Areas include:

  • Commissioning of equipment with the flexibility of being able to carry out installation and integration of equipment
  • Preparation of site prior to commissioning
  • Correct use of test equipment whilst commissioning telecommunications equipment
  • Fault location, rectification and reporting
  • Adhere to the quality control procedures for inspection, recording, sampling and traceability of work stages during an installation (documentation)
  • Health and Safety awareness

Qualifications/Training Courses:

  • HND/HNC Electronic/Electrical Engineering - Desirable
  • Rooftop Access training, including radio frequency awareness and harness training certificate - Essential
  • 1st Aid Appointed Persons Certificate – Essential
  • Full Driving Licence – Essential
Experience:
  • Service orientation experience (1+ years) – Essential
Ideally you will have proven Experience in some of the following technologies:
  • 2G and 3G Networks
  • Edge Technology
  • PDH
  • SDH
  • DWDM
  • Good Understanding of I/P Networks
