Our Waterjet Offering
Clean, Innovative Excellence
Waterjet Cutting of components offers exceptional precision with a high quality of finish, while reducing customers’ lead-time and project spend. Our investment in the latest Waterjet Technology gives us the ability to offer incredibly competitive prices and the ability to cut virtually and material, shape or quantity.
Our Waterjet Cutting Service is powered by a Bystronic ByJet Flex 4030 Twin Head Waterjet. This allows us to cut and profile parts in both 2D and 3D, in a variety of materials and thicknesses. Our Waterjet has a maximum cutting size of 4000 x 2000mm.
Our Process
We understand that projects come about quickly, which is why we have simplified our Waterjet Cutting Process. In just a few simple steps, you can go from quote, right through to manufacture and delivery. Discover this below:
Upload your CAD Files
You can upload DXF, STEP and SolidWorks Files. From this, our engineering estimators will quote based on this. This is the point where you need to tell us the material, and whether you will be free-issuing the material, or require us to purchase it.
Review Your Quotation
Once you receive your quotation, our estimators will await conformation of acceptance. From this, you will be given a lead time, and any other information that is required.
Production Begins
Once all material is received, production will begin. You can then choose to have your parts delivered for a fee, or collect from our premises.

Frequently Asked Questions
Discover our information below answering commonly asked questions regarding Waterjets cutting capability, and what ICEE can offer.
How does Waterjet Cutting work?
Waterjet Cutting is an accelerated manufacturing erosion process within a selected material. Highly pressurised water is fired, through a ruby or diamond nozzle, into a mixing chamber. This pressure creates a vacuum and draws garnet into the stream, where it is then fired at the object in place for cutting.
What level of accuracy can Waterjet cutting achieve?
Waterjet Cutting boasts ultra-fine precision. Depending on the material, our Waterjet cuts within 0.5mm tolerance.
Should I use Waterjet Cutting or Fibre Laser Profiling?
Waterjet Cutting is a great option, as it has the ability to cut a wider range of materials, with greater thicknesses. However, Fibre Laser Cutting is great for batch processing of sheet metal materials, and tends to work faster.
Do Waterjet Cutting Services impact the material's physical structure?
Waterjet Cutting does not create a Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) like other methods. This results in the material’s structure remaining intact.
