ICEE Group and our EV division, ICEE-EV, were main match sponsors as Portsmouth beat Millwall 2-1 at Fratton Park on Saturday 24 October.
It is the second season running that we have sponsored a Pompey fixture, after last October’s game against Coventry City, and this one had a better ending.
A comeback in the rain
Pompey made it hard work for themselves, going behind inside six minutes before a Millwall own goal levelled things up on 16 minutes.
The winner came from Thomas Waddingham with eight minutes to play, sending a rain-soaked Fratton Park home happy. Waddingham also picked up our sponsor’s man of the match award, which was presented after the game.
A day with our customers and partners
We were joined in the Partner’s Lounge by customers and partners, including Rolec, for the full matchday experience, from lunch before kick-off to the presentation on the pitch.
We also left with a signed Pompey shirt, which is going straight on the office wall.
Supporting our local club
Our nationwide team installs and upgrades EV chargers for homes and businesses across the UK, but this is home. We are based just up the road in Waterlooville, so Fratton Park is our local ground.
Backing the club is a simple way of supporting the community we live and work in, and it was good to be there as sponsors on a day the club gave everyone something to cheer about.
